Holiday Wishes 2025

Hi, I'm Mythic. I've been participating in Holiday Wishes off and on for...how long has it been? Thank you for taking the time to read my (somewhat recycled) list.

1. Advice on how to make physical exercise less boring.

2. Advice on how to build a writing habit.

3. Places to find advice on how to be a Dungeons and Dragons Game Master, and how to create characters effectively. My library runs games, and I want to volunteer and help out with that.

4. Recommendations for TV shows/movies to watch. Live-action or animated, doesn’t matter. I only have free streaming services at the moment and will be looking for things through the public library services. I would prefer not to have a heavy focus on slice of life if possible, and want to avoid sex scenes.

5. Recommendations for books/comics to read. I’m looking for older science fiction and fantasy, mysteries, and will try new genres. Again, preferably not so much slice of life or stuff with sex scenes.

6. I’ve gotten into visual novel/choices matter games recently, and would love to experience more of them. Got any recs for me? (Girl seeking guy if you’re reccing explicitly otome games, please!). I’ve enjoyed Cinders, Henchman Story, Arcadia Fallen, Coffee Talk 1 and 2, To Be or Not to Be, and A Date With Death in the past. I’m a fast reader, so I would like something with a lot of projected reading time and/or strong replay value if I need to pay for it. (I have Tavern Talk, I just haven't gotten around to starting it yet.) I would prefer games from Steam.

7. Recs for co-op games that can be played through Steam, couch or online.

Wishes For Coco!

Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope you all have had an amazing year so far!

My name is Sherrie (or Coco). I've forgotten how many years I've been posting and trying to grant small wishes! It's been a few! I’ll be 37 years old soon after the New Year, and I live with my fiancé and his parents and our two dogs in southern Idaho (USA).

1. My Amazon Wishlist.
2. If you are able, donate some of your time or money/items to your local animal shelter. I am sure that like our local shelters, they are at capacity constantly and could use any help volunteers or donated funds/items can provide.
3. High protein, low-carb meals and dessert/snack recipes. Bonus points if they’re “easy” recipes or involve a slow cooker/crockpot! I’m also open to the use of protein powder recommendations that might be involved in said recipes!
4. Show recommendations for streaming. I have quite a few streaming services available in the US (such as Netflix, HBOMax, Paramount+, PrimeVideo, Hulu, Disney+, and Crunchyroll) and recently finished The Vampire Diaries with my fiancé. I’m not huge on “reality” TV but enjoy some action, dramas, and anime.
5. Snail mail! I love receiving almost anything in the post besides bills, but this is especially true about holiday cards.
6. Steam e-gift cards! I’m a long-time gamer and have a looong wishlist on Steam and would greatly appreciate anything that helps me make even a dent in it.

Happy Holidays!

So very excited that Holiday Wishes has come 'round again. I've participated for a few years now, and I've been looking forward to it. Can't wait to comb through all these lists!

Here is mine:

1) Google Play or Steam cards/credits, so I can either pamper myself a little in Pokemon Go or play games with my partner!

2) Holiday cards. Who doesn't love receiving mail, especially around the holidays? Every year I decorate my mantle with all the cards I have gotten in the mail. It's very cheerful.

3) Art of an OC of mine. I will of course provide details, if you are interested in taking a crack at it!

4) Stationary, so I can send things to my friends. This can be anything from postcards or paper stationary to washi tape, postage stamps or notecards. If you've got any laying around you won't use, or isn't quite to your taste, I'd be happy to take it off your hands!

5) Your best crock pot recipes.

6) Animorphs #51, The Absolute. It's the only one I'm missing from my collection, and for some reason, that volume in particular is very hard to find. Do you have it, boxed away in your attic, or sitting on a dusty shelf? Maybe you've spied it in a local thrift shop or used book store. My almost-complete collection would love to give it a home!

Happy Holidays!

This will be my third year participating in Holiday Wishes!

1. Dreamwidth points and/or more premium paid time would be fantastic. If provided with the former, then I can obtain the latter myself.

2. Recommendations for any new gothic horror/gothic romance films that may have been released in the last two or three years. If it’s a Dracula adjacent film, then in all probability I may have seen it. I adored Nosferatu (2024). I am aware of Frankenstein (2025), and should be watching it soon.

4. Fan art inspired by any of the Dracula fanfic I’ve written over the years would be amazing.

Hello, name's Blue! Happy to participate here again!

1. Kudos and comments on my fics! I write for Identity V and Limbus Company.

2. Steam gift cards! I like getting random small games that get my interest when I read about them, but I don't often have the money to spend. I'm also hoping for at least 10 euros as the main game I play, Limbus Company, is gonna have new season on 31st December and I'd like to get the battle pass early if possible. Hello! It's my first time participating in this event, and I have only a few requests ^-^

1. I would love to get anything inspired by my own fics. This can be fanart, covers/picspams... Or the reverse, with a few not-fics I have on ao3 (under the "Embedded Images" tag), or with short-form fics such as drabbles, double d that could instead inspire some writing. Things like remixes, podfics, translations, continuations... you name it, it's all welcome.

2. Putting more femslash into the world is always a net positive, so I'd love to get some f/f fic! I'd especially love some heroine/antagonist stuff.

3. On that same spirit, what about some lesbian recs? Both romantic/shippy or not. These can go from fanworks, to novels (adult lit, please), non-fiction books, films... Tell me your favourite stories about wlw. Here the "not overt fluff and cozy stories or slice of life" applies, too.

[1] Friends on Bluesky (kivrin) or on Finch (LWQMXDV9J5), which I just got but am really liking.

[2] Art of my ttrpg OCs. I've asked for this every year since I started playing (ie. since I got on bupropion) and had someone draw one for me the first year, then decide I'd asked for too much and fully abandon the project (and bar me from using the existing artwork). I'm still not sure how much of that was my fault, but I'd love a do-over, especially if you're an artist who is willing to tell me exactly how much is "too much" to ask for, and let me backtrack if I've actually gone overboard.

[3] Stickers for my planner! I've been decorating my planner every week all year and it helps so much. Since stickers can just go in a standard envelope, I would assume you can send them from anywhere without incurring custom fees as long as it's not something that's declared on the envelope. I like floral stuff and sort of stylized things, with a white or transparent background if possible. These are some examples of what I mean .

[4] Hire me? I would love some editing work, particularly anything related to TTRPG writing -- modules, homebrew, etc. I have a couple of offers on my Ko-Fi, but I truly don't even know where to start. I would also be thrilled to design printables for spell cards, condition cards, item cards, character sheets, etc. for a low price -- I keep meaning to design them and sell them, but I have a really hard time getting myself to do it without specifics or someone waiting on them.

In the same vein, I've been meaning to try making a dice bag; if anyone wants to sort of pre-buy one, that would be amazing.

I want to play the games my friends are playing, and they insist on not releasing them for PS4, and it sucks. I have a little bit of money set aside for this, but not enough to buy it without feeling incredibly guilty about it. Happy holidays all!

Happy holidays everyone. Another year, another holiday wishes. I do enjoy this group each year. I feel like it represents the best out of everyone.

Now about my list this year. I know things are well... they are very rough all around right now. So with that in mind for my list I'm focusing on mostly free things. And nothing that needs to be shipped.

The list will be short because of that. But that's more then fine with me.

In any case, the list.

4. Comment on more fic or art. Not just mine, but anyone whose works you love. Trust me, a nice comment makes a artist or writers day.

5. Do something nice for someone. Doesn't have to be big. Like, holding open the door for someone fulfills this. You would be surprised how much tiny things like that can help someone sometimes.

6. Watch some indie projects. If you are a animation fan, may I suggest a few shows such as "Monkey Wrench", "Ruff Ruff Danger Dogs" or "Knights of Guinevere. Please let me know what you think if you watch.

7. You have any ocs? I'd love to hear about them. I love ocs.

My fandoms are: i don't really consider myself "in fandoms" I just sort of like what I like and make merch for it sometimes, I rarely interact in fan content so I'm not rly a big fic reader, I'm much more in the oc crowd than making fan content. BUT here's some stuff I love: record of lodoss war, weathering continent, RG Veda, Saint seiya, magi labyrinth of magic, land of the lustrous, dungeon meshi, Slayers, lunar: sss&eb, mana series, final fantasy, Lufia, -- really lots of old fantasy anime n games from the 60s to late 90s with the rare occasional newer thing

I'm looking to meet people who: are chill and around my age, anyone who's interested in original characters n anything listed above

My posting schedule tends to be: unsure yet but I'd like it to be every day if I can manage it

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: I guess just general hateful content, which I don't see happening often. Other than that I am NOT a fan of anti/proshipper wank I am frankly too old for it. Both sides get on my nerves and I will typically unfollow ppl who start engaging in that arguing.

Before adding me, you should know: as related to above; I am a believer of fiction being fiction and separate from reality. I don't really care what people choose to write or create. (we can point out real life patterns in themes chosen, but that doesn't make any of it real or inherently harmful) However, I like to be critical of media n can sound harsh about it sometimes, but I'm never going to tell anyone not to like something just bc I don't care for it.

I write fanfiction focusing on rarepairs and minor characters in the Pokémon fandom, with some other very small fandoms and original work sprinkled throughout.. I'd be thrilled to receive comments on anything that catches your eye. You can find my works under the AO3 username Audrelite. 99% of my stuff is 1k words or less so it's nice and short, but I do have some shorter one-shots as well. (I'm not a longfic writer.) No concrit, please, and I'd appreciate if you didn't mention that you're coming from this event or that you're fandom-blind.

I've been utterly obsessed with this dark romance series for most of this year, and I've been very lonely since I can't really talk about it with any of my friends. Guess this is what you get when you love 1) dark romance and 2) Italian books—"niche" is an understatement to the nth degree.
